Arrangement and design of torque support

For support of the reaction torque, the gears have lateral stops; their sizes are stated in the table to follow.

Construction

The torque support must be designed in such a way that excessive force do not occur (untrue operation because of bent-through roller).

In case of reversing service, play-free operation must be guaranteed. Both requirements are fulfilled by the application of buffers that absorve vibrations. In case of high ambient temperatures, cup springs are recommended instead of the rubber buffers.

Rubber buffers are available against a surcharge. All other parts are not part of our scope of supply.

If the installation area in the direction of the roller distance is limited, it is possible to install auxiliary support elements in the lower part.

The dimensions of this construction type as well as the correspondent buffer size can be taken from the table hereunder. Take care that the ambient temperature for India rubber buffer does not exceed 60°C. When using artificial rubber, the ambient temperature may be 80°C. The buffers are to be protected against oil, heat, light, oxygene and ozone reduce their lifetime.
